Cut out the pictures we like.

We will make blanks for daffodils from cotton pads. To cut even petals, you can fold the disk in half and make the necessary cuts.

Now we can cut out the petals without any problems

We cut long strips of paper napkins and fold them. We make a V-shaped neckline.

We unfold the strips and fold them randomly to create a center similar to the middle of a daffodil.

Now we prepare mimosa flowers. Cut the napkins into small pieces and roll them into dense lumps.

"8" for crafts: template

Since we are talking about various applications, postcards and other crafts that children prepare for their mothers, grandmothers and aunties as gifts on March 8, it is simply impossible to do without a template for making the main number of the holiday. For this purpose, it is best to use ordinary cardboard, and then trace the craft along the contour, placing it on a sheet of colored paper, directly while making the application for March 8th. It is not at all necessary for every child to have eight templates in their hands; several of them per group are enough.

To make “8”, you need to fold the cardboard in half, on one side of it, from the edge where the bend passes, draw half of the number, which should consist of an outer and inner contour. Next, cut out the template and level it. Thus, you will get a figure eight, which will facilitate the children’s further work when making an applique for March 8 with their own hands. A figure eight already cut out of colored paper can be tied with a ribbon in the middle to make the finished craft look more interesting. This number can be glued to postcards, vases with flowers, and many other crafts for March 8th.

Daisies for a postcard

Chamomiles are one of the most delicate and beautiful flowers, which is why they are perfect for making an applique for March 8th. It will not be at all difficult for a child to make templates for them, since every child has seen this flower many times.

To make daisies, you will need to draw a flower with a large number of long and narrow petals on a white sheet of paper, folded in half, it is important that they do not touch. To make the card look more interesting, you should cut the edges of the centers and leaves a little with scissors.

Volumetric paper applique

Due to the fact that at the beginning of spring all the flower beds in our latitudes are still “gray”, an “March 8” applique made of paper, represented by voluminous flowers, can be an excellent choice. To do this, you will need to cut out many petals, round at the top and pointed at the bottom, from colored double-sided sheets. The leaves should look similar, only green paper should be used to make them. For the stems you need to twist the flagella from corrugated paper.

Each flower should consist of 5 petals. In order for them to look three-dimensional, each of them should be folded in the middle at the base and glued, and then placed in the appropriate order on the base and glued. Paint the center of the flowers with contrasting paint. Glue the stems and leaves, having previously folded them in the same way as the petals. So the application is ready for March 8th! A card with voluminous flowers will definitely please the child’s mother or grandmother, and it will not require too much effort from him.

Mimosa sprig: a craft made from corrugated paper

An applique of a mimosa sprig made from corrugated paper made by a child can be an excellent present for a mother. Next, you need to cut a three-centimeter strip from corrugated paper with a length corresponding to the length of the drawn branches. The strips must be twisted into a stem. Then coat each of them on one side with glue and secure it to the contours of the drawn branch. You should start with the main one and end with the smallest ones, which are present in the application for March 8th. 4) If the remaining parts of the picture are made of paper, then cut out small squares from a yellow sheet. You can first cut the strips and then give them the desired shape. We crumple each of the squares into a ball and glue them onto the branches, imitating mimosa flowers.

5) If the remaining parts are made from plasticine, then simply roll small balls and attach them to the branches.

Stages of work:

1) Attach the petal templates to colored paper, trace the outlines with a pencil and cut them out. The number of required blanks depends on the size of the painting.

2) Similarly, we make leaves from green paper.

3) The stems are made by twisting corrugated paper into flagella.

4) Flowers consist of 5 petals. To create a volume effect, each of the petals must be folded in the middle near the base and secured. Then place it on the selected cardboard base and glue it.

5) Make the middle from a lump of plasticine.

6) Glue the stems. We fold the leaves in the same way as the petals and attach them to the picture.
